Cash return options

We offer a range of cash return options – giving you the flexibility to receive your cash your way.

Interim Cash Payment

We will pay an Interim Cash Payment (ICP) as specified in your policy after deducting any debts.

There are two ways to receive your ICP:

Cash transferred to a bank account
Transfer to PromptPay account that bind with ID card number

If you don’t want to cash in your ICP, you can also take one of these two options:

Deposit it with us at the interest rate announced
Use the amount to pay off any premiums due

You can change your cash return option via Omne by FWD , select ‘Update policies’, and then ‘Cash payout option’.

Remarks;

The cash payout options available are based by the type of your policy.
In case of cash return option change from deposit with FWD to other options, the entire deposit amount will continue to be deposited and generate interest until maturity or FWD receives a withdrawal request from you.

Maturity Benefit

By default, we will mail your maturity benefit by cheque on your policy maturity date. If you want to receive your maturity benefit via bank transfer instead, you may also send us the following documents:

Policy changes and renewal request form (only for document submission by post)
A certified true copy of your identification card, specifying the request for insurance maturity payment through bank account
A certified true copy of your bank book showing your bank account number

Send in all the required documents and a note of your request via

Typical processing time: 3 days

You will be notified by mail when we have processed the payment. Please allow a few days for the mail to reach you.

If your policy has matured and the policy is still in-force, we will pay you a maturity benefit according to the amount in the policy value including any benefits you’re entitled to receive, minus any outstanding policy debt. The life insurance policy will then be terminated.

We will inform you 30 days in advance prior to the maturity date. The details, including benefit amount and maturity date, will be sent to you by mail.

Dividend payout

If your policy is still active, we will pay a dividend payout according to the amount named in the terms of payment minus any outstanding debt. The life insurance policy will then be terminated.

By default, we will mail your dividend payout by cheque.

If you want to receive the payout via bank transfer instead, please send us the following documents at least 20 days prior to the payment date:

A certified true copy of your identification card
A certified true copy of your bank book showing your bank account number
